Saatva Classic 14.5" Queen Review: Is the High-Profile Innerspring Worth It?

October 10, 2026

When it comes to handcrafted luxury innerspring mattresses, the Saatva Classic stands out as one of the most decorated beds in the mattress industry. Known for its dual-coil support system and organic cotton pillowtop, it offers hotel-level sleep that caters to back, stomach, and side sleepers alike.

However, buyers in San Francisco often ask: "What is the difference between the 11.5" and 14.5" profile, and where can I find a Saatva mattress outlet in San Francisco to get wholesale pricing?"

At Kumfy Sleep, the Saatva Classic 14.5" Queen / Full is one of our top 3 best-selling mattresses. Here is an in-depth review of its construction, feel, and how you can save up to 60% off MSRP.

1. The 14.5" High-Profile Experience

The 14.5-inch model is Saatva’s flagship high-profile mattress. It features an extra layer of dual-steel coils and extra padding in the Euro pillowtop, giving it a grand, deep aesthetic reminiscent of 5-star luxury resort beds.

Deep Pressure Relief: The thick plush pillowtop cushions pressure points around shoulders and hips.
Enhanced Aesthetic: Adds dramatic height to low-profile bed frames and modern upholstered headboards.

2. Dual-Coil Architecture & Lumbar Zone Support

Unlike cheap foam beds that trap heat and lose shape over time, the Saatva Classic is built on an engineered dual-coil system:

Lower Base Coils: 13-gauge tempered steel coils provide an unbreakable structural foundation that prevents sagging.
Upper Contour Coils: Hundreds of individually wrapped coils contour to your movement while isolating motion.
Active Lumbar Support: Center-third spinal wire enhancement keeps your hips from sinking too deep, preventing morning back stiffness.

3. Why Buy Open Box & Overstock at Kumfy Sleep?

Purchasing a brand-new Saatva Classic 14.5" Queen through online retail stores can easily run $2,000 to $2,500 after taxes and delivery fees.

At Kumfy Sleep, our mattress warehouse San Francisco facility acquires pristine open box mattress San Francisco inventory directly from distribution centers. Every unit is put through our strict 4-Point Inspection Protocol:

100% Sanitization: Hospital-grade hygienic clean seal applied to cover and core.
T3 Coil Compression Test: Physical pressure checks verifying 100% coil resistance.
Zero-Sag Laser Inspection: Precision checks ensuring zero premature surface dips.
Heavy Sealed Wrap: Double-bagged in thick commercial plastic for clean delivery.

You get the exact same luxury handcrafted bed for up to 60% off retail MSRP!
